‘Different faiths, one homeland’: RSS-linked Muslim Rashtriya Manch launches ‘Connect with Roots’ campaign
New Delhi: The RSS-affiliated Muslim Rashtriya Manch on Sunday launched the ‘Aao Jadon Se Judein’ (Connect with Roots) campaign from Rajghat, calling for greater brotherhood, social harmony and recognition of India’s shared heritage.
The campaign was launched under the slogan ‘Different faiths, one homeland, one Indian identity’ and was led by Indresh Kumar, senior RSS national executive member and chief patron of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch. The organisation said it plans to hold a series of social initiatives aimed at promoting a “hate-free India”.
Representatives from social, educational and religious organisations attended the programme at Gandhi Smriti Darshan. Speaking at the event, Indresh Kumar said political discussions alone cannot bridge social divisions and stressed the need for direct dialogue and stronger social relationships among communities.
He said Indians may follow different religions, worship in different ways and hold different beliefs, but are united by their motherland, national identity and shared heritage.
Kumar urged people to learn about their family histories, ancestors and socio-cultural roots, while stressing that understanding one’s roots should not mean disrespecting another religion or community. Instead, he said, it should promote greater understanding and respect for diverse beliefs.
He also called for collective efforts to tackle issues such as communal violence, untouchability, pollution, illiteracy and unemployment through dialogue, peace and brotherhood.
Clarifying the objective of the campaign, Kumar said ‘Connect with Roots’ is not a religious conversion drive, but an initiative to understand India’s shared heritage and strengthen mutual trust and respect. He also appealed to citizens to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
