Bidar: The Indian Air Force’s famed Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) celebrated its 30th anniversary at Air Force Station Bidar, commemorating three decades of precision flying and professional excellence.
The celebrations were attended by Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh and Air Marshal S. Shrinivas. In a special highlight, both senior officers flew alongside the aerobatic team during the anniversary aerial display.

A moving “Hollow Diamond” formation was also performed in memory of team members who lost their lives during the squadron’s journey, symbolising the camaraderie and courage associated with the team.
Formed in 1996 at Bidar, the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team has conducted more than 800 air displays across India and abroad, inspiring millions with its synchronised flying skills and aerial manoeuvres.
The team currently flies the BAE Hawk Mk-132 aircraft in its signature red-and-white colour scheme.
Known for its motto “Sadaiva Sarvottam” (Always the Best), the team continues to represent the pride, precision and professionalism of the Indian Air Force.
