Pakistan Airstrikes in Afghanistan Kill 35, Injure Over 100
Kabul: At least 35 people were killed and more than 100 injured after the Pakistan Army carried out airstrikes in several areas of eastern Afghanistan, according to reports.
The strikes reportedly followed an attack on the regional headquarters of the paramilitary Rangers in Karachi, in which three Pakistani soldiers were killed. The attack was claimed by Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a splinter faction of the Pakistani Taliban.

Sources said Pakistani forces targeted multiple locations in Afghanistan’s Paktika, Paktia and Kunar provinces. Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated on social media that the operation was aimed at militant hideouts and safe havens.
The airstrikes have heightened tensions between the two neighbouring countries, with concerns growing over civilian casualties and regional security. Authorities are assessing the extent of the damage, while rescue and medical teams continue relief operations in the affected areas.
