Sukna: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh joined Army personnel for the traditional ‘Bada Khana’ at Sukna Military Station on the eve of Diwali, praising their commitment and sacrifices in safeguarding the country.

In a post on social media, Singh described the gathering as a celebration of camaraderie, where soldiers across ranks come together as one family.

He said the Northeast was not the far end of India but its glorious beginning, being the first region to witness the sunrise.

Describing the interaction with troops stationed away from their families as a humbling experience, Singh said their unity, warmth and high morale reflected the strength of the armed forces.

He also noted that the courage and dedication of soldiers gave the country the confidence to celebrate festivals in peace and security.

The defence minister paid tribute to the personnel serving the nation and extended his greetings to the armed forces.
