Hyderabad: Telangana DGP C V Anand launched a series of digital initiatives for the Crime Investigation Department (CID) to improve police services, streamline case management and speed up investigations.

The key initiative is a Citizen Feedback Centre that will contact people who have used police station reception services, registered FIRs, undergone passport verification or received spot e-challans. Feedback on service quality and police behaviour will be reviewed, with issues flagged for follow-up.

Anand also launched a digital case management platform connecting all 35 Bharosa Centres, a new CID website and technology-enabled systems to expedite fingerprint analysis and monitor repeat offenders.

To standardise investigations, the DGP released five volumes of Standard Operating Procedures covering bodily offences, property offences, crimes against women and children, special and local laws, and other offences.
