Air pollution is no longer just an environmental concern; it is a serious public health threat. As a cardiologist, I am deeply concerned about its growing impact on heart health, increasing the risk of heart attacks, strokes and lung cancer.

Participated in a roundtable meeting organised by the Vayu Respiratory Foundation at Church Street, Bengaluru, to discuss the health risks of air pollution and the need for urgent preventive measures.

Strengthening public transportation, expanding metro connectivity, promoting cleaner fuels, scientific waste management and effective dust control are essential steps towards cleaner air.

Clean air is not a luxury; it is a necessity for a healthy life. Let us work together to protect public health and secure a healthier future for generations to come.
