Bengaluru: A major fire broke out at Chitrakoot Kaushalya School near Gnanabharathi in Visvesvaraya Layout on Saturday, triggering panic among residents in the area.
According to preliminary reports, the blaze erupted on the fifth floor of the school building and spread rapidly. Fire officials suspect an electrical short circuit may have caused the incident, though the exact reason is yet to be confirmed.
A major tragedy was averted as the school was closed for summer vacation and no students or staff were present on the premises when the fire broke out.

Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control after an intensive operation. No casualties or injuries were reported.
