New Delhi: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will visit Germany from October 22 to 24 and the Netherlands from October 24 to 27 to strengthen economic partnerships, expand bilateral trade and explore opportunities for industrial and technological cooperation.

In Berlin, Goyal will participate in the Berlin Global Dialogue, where he will engage with international policymakers and business leaders to highlight India’s economic stability, manufacturing capabilities and role in building resilient global supply chains. He will also hold high-level meetings with Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy and the Economic and Financial Policy Advisor and G7/G20 Sherpa at the Federal Chancellery.

The discussions will focus on expanding trade and investment, accelerating cooperation in advanced engineering, green mobility and clean technology, and exploring market access and investment opportunities amid ongoing India–European Union free trade agreement negotiations.

In the Netherlands, Goyal will hold ministerial meetings in The Hague with the Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate and the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. The engagements will focus on expanding trade channels and cooperation on green transition initiatives. He is also scheduled to meet the King’s Commissioner of North Holland and members of Dutch parliamentary committees dealing with foreign trade and European affairs.

Around 100 Indian businesses and startups will accompany the minister on the visit. In Berlin, the business delegation will participate in sectoral roundtables with German industry leaders covering automotive, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, information technology, artificial intelligence, services, agri-food, consumer goods, textiles, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and wellness.

The delegation will also take part in an India–Germany Investment Roundtable organised with Germany Trade & Invest to explore opportunities for Indian companies to invest and establish operations in Germany. Interactions with German research institutions and think tanks will focus on industrial transformation, deep technology, microelectronics, skills development and resilient supply chains.

As part of the Netherlands leg, the Indian business delegation will visit the Port of Rotterdam on October 25 to examine its logistics and supply-chain infrastructure.

Goyal will address businesses from both countries alongside the Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation at the India–Netherlands Business Forum in The Hague on October 26. The forum will be followed by six sectoral roundtables and business-to-business networking sessions covering agri-food and food processing, high technology and innovation, renewable energy and sustainability, logistics, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, textiles, engineering goods and services.
